How to Remove Powered by Blogger Attribution Widget

If you want to give a professional look to your blogspot blog, I will recommend you to remove the “Powered by Blogger” Attribution. It is not mandatory but it will leave a positive impact on your visitors which are quite important for any blogger.

Here I have demonstrated you two methods for removing attribution widget. Some blogger templates may not support method 1 then you need to follow method 2 for successfully removing attribution widget.

Method 1

Step 1: Go to your blog “Template” | click on “Edit HTML”.

Step-2: Than Click on “Jump to Widget” option, drop down the list and choose “Attribution 1” See the screenshot below.
Step-3: You should be concentrate on this code:

 "<b:widget id='Attribution1'locked='true'title=''type='Attribution'> " 


Step 4: Replace the locked=’true’ with locked=’false’ as you can in picture highlighted


Step 5: Now Click on Save Template

  Step-6: You would be able to see the layout of your template. Now, find the “Attribution” widget and click on “Edit” link. Below given figure shows  the same..

Step-7: Another screen will popup appear before you. Simply click on “Remove” button. see the screenshot below
 Step-8: Now Click the “Save arrangement”.

 That’s it. You are done.

Follow the same step 1 as mention above in method 1.

How to change Blogger template

It is not that hard to change the template of your Blogger blog.  first you need to download a template from internet which you want to apply to your blog. then  go to your Blogger dashboard and follow the steps told here.

Step 1. Log in to your Blogger account and choose your blog (if you have more than one)

Step 2. Now click on the drop down menu and choose Template.


 step 3. Now Press Backup/Restore button.

 


Step 4. First you should download your existing template as a backup. So, click on “Download full template” button.

 

Step 5. Now click on Choose File button and choose your new template in XML version which you
 want to apply to your blog.

 

Step 6. Click on Upload button.

Congratulation! You are done.

Alt Tag

The Alt tag is probably the most important image optimization factor. Alt stands for alternate. The text in the alt tag is displayed in place of the image if the image can not be shown or is taking too long to load.

Remember to use a title tag whenever linking your images. Title tag provides a tool tip when you hover your cursor over a link. Use relevant keywords and SEO friendly description and your title tags will rock.

File Name

Before uploading a new image to your article, you will have to check the name of the image before uploading it. Avoid using default image file names like, “DSC0019.jpg” as it does not give much information about the image.

For example, if you are writing an article on how to Make money online, name your image as “make-money-online.jpg” or something like that.
It should make sense to both your readers as well as to the search engines.

 Step 1. Press .⊞ Win+PrtScn. The screen will darken for a moment, indicating that a screenshot was taken.

Step 2. Open your Pictures folder. by pressing ⊞ Win+E and then selecting the Pictures folder.

Step 3. Open the Screenshots folder. This folder contains all of your screenshot images.

Step 4.  Open your screenshot. Your newly-created screenshot will be in PNG format. You can manipulate it just like you would any other image. It can be edited, attached to an email, uploaded to a website, and more.

Adding a Facebook Like button to your Blogger website lets readers share your content with their Facebook friends. Clicking the Like button posts a link to your blog post on the visitor’s Facebook wall and news feed. Blogger doesn’t offer a Facebook Like button widget, but you can add the Like feature to each blog post by pasting the Like button code into your blog’s template.

Add A Facebook Like Button to Blogger Posts

Step 1. Go to your Blogger dashboard

Step 2. Click on Template in the sidebar, then Edit HTML

Step 3. Click inside of the text area and press CTRL + F (or CMD + F on a Mac) to open up the “Find” text box.
 
Step 4. Inside the “find” box in the top right corner of the text area, enter this code and press enter TWICE. You want to work with the second instance of it:

If you want to add your Like button to the top of your posts, add one of the following Facebook codes ABOVE this code. If you want the Like button on the bottom of your posts, add it UNDER this code.

Bottom Line

   Adding the Facebook Like button code to the template adds the button to all existing blogs posts in addition to new posts when you create them.
    
  Before saving the template, click the "Preview" button to check how the Facebook Like button displays on your posts.

Customization: 

You can change the vertical alignment by putting a value instead of 15% and horizontal alignment by inserting altering -721px (check the highlighted texts). And it will lead to malfunctioning of the social share bar if you proceed to edit the code other than those two alignment items.

Facebook now lets users comment with a video


Facebook launched video comments today, a feature that acknowledges the meteoric rise and continued growth of online video creation and consumption.

By 2020, internet video traffic will represent 82% of all consumer internet traffic, according to forecasts from the Cisco Visual Networking Index.

It could also help Facebook catch up, yes catch up, to Snapchat in terms of daily videos viewed on the social media platform. As per Mary Meeker’s 2016 Internet Trends Report, video consumption on Snapchat outpaced video consumption on Facebook in the first quarter of 2016.

The new feature was developed at Facebook’s 50th Hackathon, according to a company blog post.

The team that built what would become the video comments feature included core hackers: Bob Baldwin who led the initiative with Hermes Pique and Sameer Madan working on iOS, Muhammed Ibrahim focused on the Web, and Billy Ng on Android.

Baldwin previously led teams at Facebook Hackathons who developed features that allowed Facebook users to include photos or stickers in comment threads.

Step 1: Go to https://www.whatsapp.com and click on “Download” in top menu.

Step 2: Download supported version of desktop app for your desktop client. If you are using Mac click on “Mac OS X 10.9 and higher”. If you are using Windows 8 Click on “Windows 8 and higher (64-bit version)”/”Windows 8 and higher (32-bit version)”. To know which version of windows you are using click on My Computer –> Properties.

Step 3: Now after installing you will see WhatsApp Icon on desktop. When you open it will ask you to login by scanning QR code. Now Open your mobile WhatsApp –> Settings –> WhatsApp web. Scan the QR.

Advantages of WhatsApp Desktop App over WhatsApp Web


In the first look there doesn’t look much difference in WhatsApp Desktop App and WhatsApp Web in both you can send messages, attachments, record voice messages, send pictures, and manage your message history but certainly there are.
  •     In Desktop app you can use All the keyboard shortcuts to faster your chats.
  •     You do not need to keep your browser open always. As this is desktop app even if you close it. It will keep running in background you will still receive all notifications on your desktop.

Limitation of WhatsApp Desktop App


Desktop app is only launched for Mac OS X 10.9 and higher, Windows 8 and higher (64-bit/32 bit). So for the people using lower versions still have to use WhatsApp web.
